Daily brushing is important in keeping healthy teeth, a great smile and fresh breath. The American Dental Association recommends brushing your teeth at least twice a day with flouride toothpaste. Use a circular motion when brushing, being sure to get the bristles up into the gums. This will not only clean food particles from your teeth, but will massage and stimulate your guns. Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won't do a good job of cleaning your teeth.

Decay-causing bacteria still linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach. Daily cleaning with floss or an interdental cleaner helps remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line. This is important in keeping healthy gums and helping prevent cavities between teeth.
